Bringing Hope Home, (BHH) is a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support to families living with cancer. They began in Pennsylvania in 2008 and have since continued to expand throughout the Mid-Atlantic after Founder & CEO Paul Isenberg was inspired to establish the organization following the tragic passing of his wife who contracted Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The sole mission of BHH is paying critical household bills for local families struggling with cancer, whether it be for their rent/mortgage, groceries, utilities, car payments etc. BHH will even work with landlords, utility companies, bill collectors etc. to get discounted payments for those same families. Bringing Hope Home has since been a beacon for many, to date they have provided $6.4 million in assistance to more than 5,400 families.
For the past 20 years BHH has hosted a fundraiser-“The Great Guys Dinner.” This event was inspired after Paul’s wife suggested that Paul get all the “Great Guys” together for a benefit dinner to reconnect with his longtime friends, thank them for their support, and help other families less fortunate. This is where the concept of the “Great Guys Dinner” was born. The first Great Guys Dinner took place in 2001, gathered 100 guys and raised $13,000 that was donated to various cancer charities.
BHH recently expanded to Baltimore and have helped over 30 families battling cancer. BHH recently partnered with Sinai Hospital to help families in need and are looking to work with other local hospitals. Mayson Dixon Strategic Consulting assists BHH with organizing the event. Our goal is to work with local corporations, organizations, individuals, government entities to increase funding and help expand their outreach in Baltimore.
