The Brief

This townhome was the first property acquired by Mayson-Dixon and was Matt and Jayson’s first step into property ownership and management. It is a duplex townhome where they lived upstairs, rented the downstairs apartment, and came to the quick realization that this is a powerful way to revitalize communities while building long-term cash flow and wealth. During the construction process of this home they became frustrated with the contractor on communication, follow through, and timeline. It was the process that gave them the idea to start their own construction firm. Their team has since redeveloped dozens of homes in and around Baltimore, helping to stabilize and grow urban communities.

During COVID-19, Mayson-Dixon upgraded the space to provide more private outside space for their tenants where they could socially distance but also relax.
